Happy Lee/Jackson/King Day!

I'm going to celebrate by seeing Clint Eastwood portray an old, racist coot in Gran Torino later on today.

wow. those people would seem to be at odds with each other. (i'm assuming that jackson is Andrew Jackson, though.)

Nope, Stonewall. Andrew was from TN.

Yet they were both referred to as "Ol' Hickory." Go figure.

Thomas Jackson was a professor at VMI before the war. Ol' Bobby Lee lost him at Chancellorsville in 1863...

Oh. So it's not Buddy Lee from the Lee Dungarees commercial, Joe Jackson, and Jerry "The King" Lawler"? Because that would make more sense...

You know, people think Virginia making it "Lee-Jackson-King Day" is racist, but really, Robert E. Lee abhorred slavery, Stonewall Jackson was just plain crazy and didn't care, and Martin Luther King was actually teamed up with them in a troop of time-travelling superheroes fighting injustice throughout history.

That should help clear up some misconceptions.

Wow. There is so much that I don't know. Shoulda been a history major.

And I'm not sure Jerry "The King" Lawler is fit for public office. But I'd vote for Rowdy Roddy Piper in an instant, as he would be the most effective person to stave off the NWO's frequent power grabs.
