As I was getting ready for work yesterday morning, some frightening news broke: Kathie Lee Gifford is joining "Today." NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! I wish this was an April Fool's Day joke, but it is not.

1) True, since I don't think she comes on until the 10 o'clock hour, long after I've left the house. The fact that she's still out there in the television ether gives me the heebie-jeebies, though.
2) Her son, who she talked about constantly when she was on the show with Regis.

EVERYONE knows that little tidbit, except for those living in pop culture vacuums. You know, hermits, bookish people, and the like.
