Shiny boots of leather: a very Valentine's Day mix tape
Now, I'm no fan of Valentine's Day and I even compiled an Anti-Valentine's Day mix tape on this blog a couple of years ago. While my white hot hatred for the lovey-doveyness of all things associated with this day still remains, I thought that I'd compile another mix tape, only this time with songs on my iPod that have certain greeting card holiday-themed key words in their titles. So, here you go:
1. "My Funny Valentine" - Elvis Costello
2. "Happy Valentine's Day" - Outkast
3. "Cupid Must Be Angry" - Nick Lowe
4. "Cupid" - Jack Johnson
5. "Tennessee Valentine" - Amy LaVere
6. "Cupid" - Amy Winehouse
7. "Cupid Complained to Venus" - Candy Butchers
8. "Valentine" - Mary Prankster
9. "Subway to Venus" - Red Hot Chili Peppers
10. "Valentine" - Justice
11. "Cupid and Pyscho" - John Wesley Harding
12. "The Ballad of Michael Valentine" - The Killers
13. "Cupid's Arrow" - Amy LaVere
14. "Venus in Furs" - The Velvet Underground
15. "Venus de Milo" - Miles Davis
16. "My Funny Valentine" - Frank Sinatra
So, there you go.
Me? I'll be spending tonight at the gym (maybe), eating a big bowl of rice (possibly), and cursing all of the happy people (most definitely).
