Best of 2007: song

In my humble little opinion, the best written song of 2007 is "The Temptation of Atom" by Josh Ritter. It's the story of two missile silo workers. Isolated from the world above and on the verge of annihilation, they develop a relationship, mostly out of circumstance.

It's delicate, yet humorous and chock full of nuclear imagery (Adam = atom, get it?). And that last line - at once completely selfish, but also a bit romantic - gave me chills when I first heard it.
