Well, there really is no fall TV preview because, after looking over the networks' schedules, nothing really jumps out at me. There's also my reluctance to give new shows a chance (see last season's rant here). If something interesting sticks, though, I'll be hitting the torrents in a couple of months to catch up.
Besides, there's way too many quality shows returning for me to open up my schedule: "The Office", "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia", "Heroes", "30 Rock", "Scrubs", "My Name Is Earl", "South Park", "Dexter", "Curb Your Enthusiasm", "Family Guy", "King of the Hill", "The Simpsons", "American Dad", "The Sarah Silverman Program", college football, the World Series, the occasional John Stossel special...
I think I watch too much television.

Micah - You should add Friday Night Lights to your watching list. It is the best show you are not watching. Not just about football. Gripping TV.
That's what I've heard. A few weeks ago I was flipping channels and landed on "FNL" and watched a couple of minutes. I had the same problem with the show that I did with the movie: shaky cam out of control. I like other shows that use the technique ("Arrested Development", "The Office"), but they don't go all out and aim for motion sickness. Maybe it was just because it was a football game scene on "FNL" and its not normally like that (I switched the channel).
I do admit that the low price of the first season DVD set makes me want to give it a try. We'll see.
to its credit, FNL is one of my favorite sports movies - prob right up there with Hoop Dreams. but then i heard that the show really is about a town that's all and only about football, so i lost my interest.
