Well, it's good to see that everyone is so safe in the federally mandated "no gun" zones.
All that did was concentrate a shitload of unarmed people in one place.
The seeds of an overly-paternalistic government being believed that it can protect it's citizenry for them are bearing fruit. This type of shit doesn't have to happen.
It's almost too soon to start the fight over guns, but during the White House press conference yesterday, one of the retarded monkeys who calls herself a "White House Correspondent" actually asked this:
Q Columbine, Amish school shooting, now this, and a whole host of other gun issues brought into schools — that’s not including guns on the streets and in many urban areas and rural areas. Does there need to be some more restrictions? Does there need to be gun control in this country?
How stupid do you have to be to get that plum assignment?
george - But bringing a gun there would be breaking the law! Just out of curiosity, are you packing heat in Saipan? What're the laws there like?
dubin - What do you expect from a mainstream journalist, especially one assigned to the White House?
But, yeah, it's way too early to bring politics in this tragedy, be it gun control, villifying video games/music/movies or whatever.
You know, if video games truly dictated one's behavior, I'd have an uncontrollable urge to roll a boulder across town a la "Katamari Damacy". Well, actually, I do have that urge, but still...
And if video games dictated my behavior, I'd have an uncontrollable urge to run around squashing mushrooms, kicking turtles into things, and then going down pipes to collect coins in the basement.

what is wrong with that school? shouldn't they have shut down after the professor got shot in the flippin' head?
and, yes, amen.
a hearty group of prayers for the families. sad, sad.
i can't imagine...
I agree, but I'd prefer to get the mess cleaned up and all of the details out before fingers are pointed.
If it turns out that Tech was negligent, though, boy you better believe there's going to be some HUGE lawsuits.

My answer: Not much.

You mean you aren't doing all of that? Man, Michigan must be booooooring.
i would be content having mario's theme song playing as i jaunt down the street in my pullovers.
i was not aware, at the time of the first post above, that the dormitory shootings happened first, and then the second, bloodier wave took hold.
but i'm still upset at the school. just not AS upset.
btw, that was me, jasdye, up there.
my computer's down, so i'm using my wife's computer and, once again, assuming her identity.
Don't worry. Michigan's not boring. I'm completely preoccupied with my quest to destroy the Mother Brain.
jasdye - And when else do you assume your wife's identity? Creepy!
dubin - Does the Mother Brain wear blue and maize?
