That cool refreshing drink

Just in time for spring, I discovered a new drink: Presbyterian (aka Press)

1 1/2 oz Whiskey
Fill Ginger Ale and Club Soda
Pour into a glass filled with ice and garnish with a lemon twist. It's important to twist the lemon over the drink and then rub the outer peel on the rim of the glass.

Much love to the "Behind the Bar Show" podcast for the recipe.

I'm enjoying one right now while I work my way through season five of "The Sopranos" and smoke my pipe (picked up three new aromatic blends the other day: Key Largo, Honey Club, and Columbian Mocha).

What is a Catholic? I know I totally opened myself up for that one. But really, we don't need a drink named after us to honor our big love for wine, holy or otherwise.

I was just going to say that a Catholic is probably red wine served by a young boy that's walking funny.

Yes. I went there.

The podcast I got the Presbyterian recipe from gave the history behind the drink (and its name), but I plumb forget it.

I'm glad you like the Press. It is by far my favorite drink of all time. I enjoy it best with Maker's Mark bourbon.

Cheers!
