Snow! Cowtown got a couple inches of the white stuff overnight. Thanks, God, for providing the perfect backdrop for my Christmas cocktail party tomorrow. I owe you one.
Ah, snow, the Lord's blow! I knew there was a reason I wanted to come to Michigan. We got another 4 inches on top of the 2 we already had last night.
It was great until I tried walking to school, and some people hadn't shoveled their sidewalks. I ended up accepting a ride from a stranger. He had a nice, windowless white van, and it was full of candy--funny-tasting candy--so I though, "Hey, a win-win situation!"
No seriously, I was not molested, and I got to school on time. Thanks, kind stranger.
Although for now I'm missing the snow, since it really does put me in a holiday mood, come mid-January most of the rest of the country will be wishing they'd made the wise decision I did and had headed southwest-wards. I can always fly home for Christmas (and thus experience a few days of holiday chillful merriment), but the rest of you don't get to wear sandals to work :)
I agree. Bring on the snow. I went out drinking for a friend's birthday, and I apparently was physically unaware of the fact that it's 14 degrees out. Oops.

Looks like fun. All we got was some rain.

spydrz - You got yours a few days ago.
dubin - You can never be too careful. So, never accept generic candy from a stranger. Only name brand.
Michigan is the land of plenty, isn't it? In addition to the snow, your basketball team even gets the cover of Sports Illustrated.

Hey, I could wear sandals to work if I wanted to. I'd likely get gangrene, but I'm perfectly able to wear whatever footwear I want.
And I say bring on the snow in January. I love the stuff. Ice, on the other hand...

Micah, love how you called it "the white stuff".
That is a producer writing crutch that makes news directors cringe.
I'll peg you as my fill-in should I ever call in sick.
Thinking of you (and all yer alcohol) as my a** sits at work.
All those summers at Lil' News Producers Camp paid off!
And you were missed last night. 'Twas fun.
