Nothing really worthwhile to post today, so how about some filler?! A few days ago I discovered
Audioscrobbler, which basically lets the world know what music one is currently listening to. This immediately appealed to the music geek in me (his name is Cato the Uncle). Click the button below (or on the righthand column) to see what's been burnin' up my Winamp.
At the bottom of the righthand column of this blog I've installed a script that will let you know the last song that I've played. Pretty nifty!

As for DVDSpot, I don't even pay attention to the MSRP - you've got to be a sucker to pay that. I don't think I enter the actual price that I paid for my DVDs. I'll quit right now before we start a geeky conversation, getting all nostalgic for the good ol' Reel.com days.
Looks terrible for the Spiders:
1) GW is simply a better team
2) UR sucks at free-throwing
3) Buckner isn't playing today and Merrit isn't 100%

Now that the Spiders got their collective asses handed to them, I'm going to go to the gym. And then hit Hollywood Video to redeem the "buy 1 used DVD, get 1 free" coupon that I have. Mmmmm..."Mean Girls" (loves me some lucious Lindsey Lohan - and alliteration).
I love the idea of the DVDSpot! I don't have a ton (what is it with guys...watching the same movies over and over again?) but it will still be fun to put them in.
And when is my favorite movie, "Team America: World Police", coming out on DVD??? Now THAT I could watch a million times.
It's good to know that the Oritron lives on in the greater Lexvega$ area...
panthergirl - Last I heard, "Team America" was going to have an April or May DVD release, but nothing's been announced. You know, I really wanted to love that movie, given the subject matter and it being a Stone/Parker, but it didn't meet my expectations. Still, "I'm So Ronery" cracks me up (even though it's a cheap laugh).
As for larger movie collections, I can't speak for all guys, but I like having instant access to whatever movie I want. In the mood for "Boiler Room"? BAM! Want to see "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest?" POW! Plus, not having a girlfriend allows me to have disposable income - and I usually spend it on movies and music.
spydrz - Amanda's got an Oritron? *shudder* I gave mine to my brother and it finally died shortly thereafter. Chinese engineering at its finest.

When I first glance at your user name, I thought it read "Captain Backfat." Now, that's funny.
Redeemed my coupon. No "Mean Girls" in stock, but I did pick up "The Ladykillers" ("we must have waffles forthwith") and "The Punisher." Yeah yeah - it was severely panned, but I've got a soft spot for the character. This nerd collected all of the Punisher comics growing up.

Yep, the last remaining law student in our group has an Oritron DVD player/stereo system. I was not along on that trip to the Kmart in Staunton, or a Sony would be in its place (considering that I was along on about ten trips to carry furniture in my truck). 16--new name? Hmm...it was easier to use the old name...
I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Lohan has cankles. I'm willing to overlook that though.
You can have your "Girl Next Door," I'll have my "Mean Girls." It was actually a funny flick. I'd never felt like such a dirty old man as when I saw it in the theater, though.

I'm sure that I'll see "TGND" at some point, but now that I have that money back guarentee... The video store had a bunch of used copies in stock.
I could honestly care less about Lohan's alleged cankles. As the Capt. pointed out: cans.
I'd like to point out, for the record, that not only did I avoid watching the UR game, but I was visiting in a home with no cable. So there was no chance that I caught even a second of it.

kiji kat - AS uses a plug-in for your media player (Winamp, Itunes, etc.), so you don't have to input any data. It automatically does it when you play music files or CDs. Easy squeezy. Can't say that I've heard any of the Darnkess's music, but I've definitely seen the hype surrounding them.
KPMD - Abe was in there stictly to hold the camera...and stuff.
spydrz - I'll only go to East St. Louis to join my St. Lunatics homies (including my favorite urologist).
ARRRRRGH! This used DVD I bought just stopped 20 minutes before the end of the movie. Looks like I'll need to exchange it. Will the Punisher survive? (Don't tell me)
