Sad day.
You know, no one has really been able to cultivate a late night dynasty like Carson's. Jay and Dave are great, but neither have that wide range, common man appeal. Maybe ABC can come out on top when they off Koppel's 25 year old dinosaur.
I watched the DVD of the Rat Pack's "Live and Swingin'" last night, where Johnny was the emcee. He had an apt joke (paraphrased):"Last year the birth rate in the US dropped. I like to think that my show is the cause of that."So true.
